How to choose your yoni steam herbs
It is important to use a blend of herbs which are carefully selected for their qualities and properties. The herbs need to be of high grade, suitable for internal use and ideally organic. Be mindful of allergies or intolerances to specific plants.
Herbs can have physical healing qualities such as warming, drying, soothing, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antiseptic, cleansing, stimulating, digestive, blood building. But they also have emotional and spiritual strengths as they can help to release fear and negative energies, open communication, bring peace, attract abundance and good luck, unlock heightened states of consciousness, promote introspection, awaken intuition and facilitate connection with spirit realms.
You can choose your blend intuitively (what feels right for you) or purchase pre-made herbal blends crafted for optimum balance. I would advise to consult a qualified herbalist or yoni steam practitioner who can craft a blend for you.

Single herb vs blend
Avoid using just a single herb because it is the blend that creates balance. For example if using only one herb for its disinfecting property, this alone could be too drying, so a moisturizing herb should be added for balanced benefits.
Combining herbs
You could mix 3 – 6 different herbs trying to include some main qualities like cleansing, blood building, hydrating, disinfecting and digestive.
Cleansing herbs
To support the body’s natural ability to shed the old uterine lining, tissues, fluids, toxins and energies. Cleansing herbs are amazing for long cycles with heavy periods and clotting. But limit these herbs if your cycle is short (less than 28 days).
